Absolutely.

This is a super valid question! Do It Yourself Darlin offers sliding scale tickets to all workshops and has a mission of keeping our workshops as financially accessible as possible. This means that folks can attend any workshop for as little as $10 a person. However, if you add up all our operational and production costs, divided by the 70-75 workshops we offer a year, we’d need to charge ~$137 per ticket in order to simply break even. We think that price is prohibitively expensive for most folks. We’re not interested in huge profits, but we are interested in running a sustainable business that pays its employees and contractors fair wages. For that reason, we require contributions and revenue streams beyond our ticket sales to operate!
